The Ants go marching one by one......

The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah The ants go marching one by one, ...and the traps get each and everyone! HURRAH, HURRAH!!!!! This last month we have had ant issues. And talking to others in my stamping world, it is a problem everywhere. A few ants here and there would never bother me before. Then the other day I went to the cabinet to get the Pam to make Connor's french toast......and I saw this!!!!! This is my powdered sugar shaker. I took off the top and was sooo grossed out! And as I poured the sugar in the sink, I could see that this was their little home! They had burrowed all the way through!!!!! Can you say GROSSSSSSSSS! So off I went to my knitting group and then to Walmart for some supplies! I bought a few different traps to see what would work the best! These worked the best!!!! They crawl up into the little slit you cut to get to the bait! And they either die in there or when they come out! This is inside my cabinet! I had to take everything out and then put a few traps in there. Will be cleaning this up and then putting a few more down to see how many more there are!

yep, been there done that. It's not fun. One morning I got up to find a whole ant hill (really an ant HILL) built right inside the sliding glass door. I don't know where they came from, but they must've been building all night long! I cleaned it up and never saw ants there again. Strange!

Oh my word. I am so sorry for your ant situation. We have been there! I have had the BUG people out and still it did not help. Then I was talking to my husbands Aunt and she said to try corn meal! I was willing to try anything at this point. So, I sprinkled corn meal where ever I saw ants. The ants get all excited and come and get it, then take it back to the nest. When they eat it, it expands in their tummies and, well, they die. When the BUG people came out one of the times they said it is very important that you get the nest, otherwise when they start dying off from the poison or the traps they think they are under attack and start rapidly reproducing! So, with the cornmeal they do not think they are under attack, they think it is a cool treat! So, try that. The one thing to note is that at first they all come out to get the cornmeal and you think, OH MY WORD there are so many of them. Then there are fewer and fewer and after about 3-4 days, gone. If they come back, put more down. I was so thrilled to find this simple and easy fix to my ant problem I had to share it with you. Good luck!
