I haven't posted any card creations in a while so I figured I would show a few.  Hard to tell from the photo's, but the baby card is a swing card.  I used to make these by hand, cutting with an exacto knife.  But I was going through some things in my craft room and found a die cut I forgot I had purchased!

Stamped bags and Bottle Caps!

Went out to celebrate a friend's birthday yesterday.  I decided we needed party favors!  So I stamped on little canvas bags.  I used a stamp from the Mixed Bouquet set and black Stazon ink.  The bottle caps are non Stampin' Up!.  I was into bottle caps before we started selling them and bought a gazillion at a local brewery supply place.  I made the initials in My Digital Studio, and then embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I tried one with Crystal Effects as the top layer but knew it would take too long to dry.  Thankfully I had some of those clear plastic things used in scrapbooking in my stash and used them.  I used a split key chain ring to attach the bottle cap and added it to the draw string.  I think they were a hit!

For the Birds

Another Regional Swap.  This is just a "card front".  We demo's like to have ideas, and this is a great way to swap without having to make an entire card and keeps the cost down.

So here is what I came up with:

I knew I could "step it up" with buttons etc, but didn't have enough of the same one to put it on all of them.  (so if you swap with me, you can add a button, ribbon, or whatever)

So here is what I did with one of them.  I trimmed it down and layered it onto a card made from the same blue cardstock.  I added more dots around the frame with the white gel pen, and added a button with some white bakers twine.  See how just a simple thing can change the look of a card!
Supplies used on the first card are:

For the Birds stamp set
Melon Mambo, Bashful Blue, Whisper White Cardstock
Polka Dot Parade DSP
Labels Collection Framelits
Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, Old Olive Markers
Black Stazon ink, Crystal Effects, Dimensionals, White Gel Pen, Snail Adhesive

Happy Spring!

I admit I am a Pinterest whore.  An addict for sure!  I just can't help myself.  Just wish I had the time and the money to do everything on there that I like!

Anywhooo....I wanted to make a carrot with some extra Easter candy I bought for a 3D swap for Stampin' Up!  Baltimore Regional event.  Didn't want it to say Happy Easter though, since we are past that.  So I figured "hello" would be cute enough!  I knew I could make it like the old stand by "sour cream" treat container, but wasn't sure about the best way to do the stems etc.  In comes Pinterest!  I found this.  I didn't want to use ribbon though.  I knew I had some polka dot paper, but not enough to make many.  So instead I figured I would use an embossing folder instead.  Then I found this and decided to CASE it for the most part.  So if you are going to the Baltimore Regional, and have a 3D swap, I would love to swap with you!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I love the Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps we sell from Stampin' Up!  The shortbread sugar cookie recipe is one of the two that come with the kit.  Not sure why these flattened out so much though!  I think my oven is too hot!

Anyhooo......I made a double batch of the recipe.

Here is what the stamp set I used comes with

Occasions Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps #127081

And here is a step by step of how I get the image onto my cookies!

Put the silicone stamp onto the wooden handle.

I use a small cup to support it until I am ready to put the sugar in the stamp image and then to support it when I press the dough ball into the stamp.

I spoon a bit of sugar on and use a spatula to scrape off the excess.

This is about the amount I leave on there.  (can't be perfect!)

I put a ball of dough on top and just smooch down enough to make sure I am covering the image.

I finish pressing it onto my Silpat.

And Voila'....they come out yummy!

My Digital Studio

My goal for 2013 is to catch up on my scrap booking!  Hubby gave me a new laptop for Christmas so I was able to download the MDS2+ that I purchased when it was 50% off.  My other laptop has the original version that I still have to find the disc for!  Anyway....I put together two pages for Christmas Eve 2011!

Bridal Shower Things

My cousin is getting married in September and we threw her a shower.  My contributions are the shower favors, and food name tags and people name tags.  I used our Stampin' Up! Petite Purse die cut and embossed the cardstock with the new Chevron embossing folder.  The pearl is from a local craft store.
Love how it all turned out!

I "Heart' U!

SCS had a great tutorial on this adorable card. I bought quite a bit of Valentine paper from the SU clearance rack and used it for these cards. I used a heart from our new Framelits to cut the Heart for the center! These are our new Framelits. They come in a great plastic envelope that snaps, but in anticipation of more of these to come I redid the storage! I used one of our empty Clear Mount Stamp Cases. I cut our magnetic sheets down to size, put the information sheets that come in the envie with the Framelits in the front and back, adhered the magnet sheets to that, and then the Framelits cling right to the magnet! Voila!!! Happy Stamping & Knitting!

My Digital Studio Birthday Invites

I can finally share this! We threw my Dad a surprise party for his 80th birthday. I created the invitations in MDS. I scanned the photo from his high school graduation and used it for the invite. The background is the same picture, just faded out some. What do you think? I was very happy with how they came out! I was able to print two to a page on Very Vanilla cardstock, and them cornered rounded each and mounted them on to Soft Suede Cardstock! So easy and fun! Happy Stamping & Knitting!
