Coming Soon to a Computer near you!!!

Got the creative itch? Scratch it anytime!Coming this fall, order fabulous Stampin' Up! products from your demonstrator any time, day or night through her business web site. Whether you wake up in the middle of the night with the perfect plan for the perfect project or need to make party invitations with no time for a workshop, it's no problem! Just visit your demonstrator's web site and order what you need. If you don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, you can locate one in your area.
FAQQ: When can I start ordering online?
A: You can start ordering from your demonstrator's web site beginning this fall.
Q: How does ordering online work? Do I just click on the products I want? Does it automatically calculate the shipping and tax for the customer?
A: Yes, Stampin' Up!'s Online Ordering is very similar to other online shopping sites. Simply add items to a shopping bag and click to check out. The shipping and tax will be automatically calculated.
Q: When I order merchandise online, do I get to see samples and ideas for using the products?
A: The online store will be very similar to the catalog. Not only will you be able to buy products directly from your demonstrator online, you'll also be able to view samples and ideas displayed in the catalog and other Stampin' Up! materials. Q: Do I get hostess benefits when ordering online?
A: We know your relationship with your demonstrator is important, so when you place a qualifying order from your demonstrator's web site, you will be eligible for Stampin' Rewards (the online version of Hostess Benefits).
Q: Is there any difference (in price, minimum shipping, etc.) between placing an online order through my demonstrator's web site and placing it with her in person?
A: When you order through your demonstrator's web site, you'll enjoy the same catalog and minimum shipping prices, and qualifying orders will still be eligible for Stampin' Rewards (Hostess Benefits).
Q: If I forget where to find my demonstrator's web site, can I look her up?
A: Yes. You can find your demonstrator through the Demonstrator Locator. Q: Does Online Ordering take the place of the traditional Stampin' Up! workshop?
A: Absolutely not. Nothing can replace the enjoyment of learning and stamping with friends. While you will soon have the convenience of ordering from your demonstrator online, Online Ordering is not designed to replace workshops, but to supplement them by giving you access to your demonstrator and her great ideas any time, day or night. Q: With Online Ordering, will the online catalog go away?
A: The new Online Ordering system is much more dynamic than the old online catalogs and is designed to replace it.

Sweet 13!

My niece is turning 13 this week! Happy Birthday Sydney! Connor was born on June 16th, his cousin, Garrett 6/5, and Sydney 7/24., all the same year. It was fun for my sister, sister-in law, and I to all be pregnant at the same time, and even more so to watch them grow over the years. Hard to believe they are now TEENAGERS! Oh the fun to come!
So this is what I came up with for Sydney's card. It is all done with the new cardstock and designer paper that will be coming in the new catalog in August! The base of this is Pink Pirouette, with a layer of Kiwi Kiss, and the designer paper is called Bella Rose. I also used Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red re-inkers to color the flower from the Pretties Kit. The ribbon is something I picked up at Tuesday Morning a while back. It was a large spool with several different types of ribbon for a few bucks!
I also did something similar to this and sent it into Stampin' Up! for the August contest. It was a birthday card to celebrate SU's 20th birthday.

Colors of Fall

I know we are in the middle of summer, but I am thinking ahead to fall. I am planning on doing a craft show in October, so I really have to gear up and get to production!!! I have been busy this past week as you can see since I haven't posted in almost a week! UGH!
This sock yarn is Patons Kroy Sock Strips and knits up great! I love the fall colors of this yarn. Won't these look great with a pair of clogs!
So this is what I have on the needles at this time, along with a sweater, two scarves, and another pair of socks where I ran out of the yarn right at the toe! UGH! And these were mill ends I picked up at a yard sale so I don't have any idea where to get more!

New Toys!

I got my new toys! As a demonstrator, we could pre-order a few things that will be in the new catalog coming in August! I had a little time to play last night and made these. So much fun! The sets are Sock Monkey, and Happiness Always (hostess set)
Can't wait to get the catalog and see what else is new!

Being 50+ has it's FUN NOT!

Some may say this is TMI (too much info!), but it was something I had to do and want to encourage others to do it as well! I went and had my first colonoscopy! First and foremost.....if you gag with any type of medicine other than cough syrup like me, opt for the pill prep! They are huge HORSE pills, but so much easier than swallowing all that gross liquid! Do not think that when nothing happens in an hour or so, that you must not have anything in you........you do!!!! So from 4pm til 2:30 am, the day before my procedure I lost 6 lbs, just running back and forth to the bathroom! Wait wasn't too long.....they brought me back, gave me an IV and told me the anesthesiologist would come and talk to me. Alrighty then! As I am waiting, another patient walks back to have his procedure done....Nurse asks him questions about medications he took, when he last ate, what PREP did you use??? Well, this idiot guy, says he had a baby aspirin in the am, last ate about 36 hours ago, and FASTED for his prep! UH! HELLO! The nurse asked him why he didn't prep. He said he didn't recall being told that, or about not taking aspirin for a week before procedure!!!!! But he did wonder about it! So when you wonder, pick up the phone and call the doctor.....ding dong! So guess who didn't get his Colonoscopy that day! But I did and I am fine! Don't need to have this fun again for another 10 years! (fingers are crossed!) And now I leave you with this! Colonoscopy humor: A physician claims these are actual comments from his patients made while he was performing colonoscopies: 1. "Take it easy, Doc, you're boldly going where no man has gone before." 2. "Find Amelia Earhart yet?" 3. "Can you hear me NOW?" 4. "Oh boy, that was sphincterrific!" 5. "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" 6. "You know, in Arkansas, we're now legally married." 7. "Any sign of the trapped miners, Chief?" 8. "You put your left hand in, you take your left hand out. You do the Hokey Pokey...." 9. "Hey! Now I know how a Muppet feels!" 10. "If your hand doesn't fit, you must acquit!" 11. "Hey, Doc, let me know if you find my dignity." 12. "You used to be an executive at Enron, didn't you?" AND FINALLY (drum roll and cymbal crash.....) 13. "Could you write me a note for my wife, saying that my head is not, in fact, up there?"

Pick a Petal of Happiness!

I love how easy this card was to make! I stamped one of the petal images from the set onto Close to Cocoa Designer Prints paper and cut them out. To line them up, I punched a circle and put that in the center of my layer and then adhered the petals to that as a guide. The center of the flower is made using Stampin' Up circle punches and then a Close to Cocoa button. The ribbon is something I picked up at the ribbon outlet that I love! These are two of my favorite color combinations! Chocolate Chip and Tempting Turquoise! The word, "Happiness" is from the Warm Words set.

Stuffy Nose?

That's what this little guy looks like he has! This card is CASED from many that I have seen out there. This is made with the Pick a Petal set! I stamped the petal for his nose in Only Orange, and then ran the edges of the stamp in my Real Red pad to get a multi color look. This is my swap for my stamp club ladies. Plus I made a few extra to have on hand! Cute isn't he!
I also stamped eyes peeking up the bottom of the envelope!

I LOVE Decor Elements!

This is my first one! I also got the pussy willow one in medium, but will need more for below the "H" where I had planned to put them. Just one won't look right. So until I get them, here is what the "H" and Circle look like!

Calorie Free Strawberry, Chocolate Chip, and Coffee Ice Cream

I saw this great card done by TheresaCC on SCS. She has a tutorial for it on her blog. I knew I had to CASE it! Pretty much the same card, but I made one of my cones Chocolate Chip using Itty Bitty Backgrounds. This ribbon was something I picked up up back in February by the looks of it, but I think it goes perfect with this card!
Supplies used:
Scallop Circle Punch
1-3/8" Circle Punch
Word Window Punch
Ticket Corner Punch
Close to Cocoa CS
Pretty in Pink CS
Whisper White CS
Naturals Ivory CS
Short & Sweet Stamp Set
Itty Bitty Backgrounds Stamp Set
brads from Hodgepodge Hardware
Cuttlebug embossing folder
Dimensionals
Then this little 3x6 card is the same concept! But I used some beads for the sprinkles! I wanted to use my silver Hodgepodge Hardware, but there wasn't a large scallop. Guess what I did?????
I took the one I had and used my Zig Painty pen to color it! Works like a charm!
I got the word "SWEET" on the now retired Word Search Background stamp! Just inked it up with my Chocolate Chip marker and layed the CS on top and rubbed.

Button Bouquet Preview

Look what's coming in the new catalog!

These adorable buttons! They are in the new In-Colors!!!!

The assortment includes buttons in Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, and Riding Hood Red. It contains 30 buttons in five styles (six buttons per style). The bouquet will cost $7.95.

Won't these be adorable as the center of a stamped flower. or as wheels??? I can't wait!

Make a custom Tote!

I went to Old Navy yesterday to shop. They had THESE canvas/vinyl bags on sale for $8.99 from $20. As soon as I saw them I thought of our Rub-Ons! So I played today and came up with this!
I have a few packs of the SAB rub-ons and decided to use them. I put them on the outside of the vinyl and will hope they last a while. I didn't put them on the inside as whatever I end up putting in the bag will rub up against them more.
I plan on tying some ribbon around the handles to give it a little more "bling!"

Faux Housewife Wig!

I was doing some searching for patterns on Knitty.com and came across this!
OMG! What a hoot! I would love to make one as a joke, but don't know if I'd ever actually wear it!
