How punchy are you?

I don't know about you, but I have all the SU punches, current and past. This presents a problem if you like to keep the retired ones like I do!!! I started out 10 years ago with SU and had an Iris Cart or two for my supplies etc. This has soon morphed into a monster of it's own and it is out of control! I need an organization show to come in and do my room for me..........but I would be too afraid they'd get of too much. So once the Iris carts didn't work for my punches I got this: I have two of them hooked together. When there wasn't enough room, and my large Marvy punches didn't fit in this, I got an over the door shoe hanger...here: And as you can see, this one is stuffed, and it's not easy to see or get all the punches in an organized fashion. So enter my ABC Distributing catalog.............and tada! An ever better storage thingy for my punches! I really like how this looks, you can see the punches, and fit a few in each pocket....except for the the scallop border type punches....I would only put one per pocket.

Here is the link to it! Consider me your enabler!

Now in the next week or so, I hope to have my room cleaned and organized.....anyone want to come help??????

Thanks for stopping by! And as always, any comments are appreciated here!

Patriotic Ankle Socks

Have had this yarn in my stash for some time now. Gloria, one of my mother's friends loves anything red, white, and blue, patriotic, etc. I don't know if she'll wear knitted socks or not, but figured she could wear them around the house at the very least. So I knit these up while on vacation at the beach.

Learning Entrelac

A few of us at our local knitting group are learning how to knit entrelac. Fun to do, but for me....I can't have any distractions or I lose where I am! lol Here is my scarf that I started. It won't be this poofy (is that a word! lol) one it is finished and blocked. It will then be flat and smooth.

Stop.....and enjoy the beauty around you!

I will admit that I don't have much of a green thumb. I certainly don't know the names of flowers, shrubs, etc., like some people do. But I do have things blooming in my yard! It amazes me how these little flowers can bring beauty to my yarn, and nectar to the insects that seek them out! But I have to tell you......I wish the beetles would leave my roses alone!

Medallion makes a gorgeous tile!

One of our new background stamps is called Medallion(#115223, $17.95). When I first saw it, I immediately thought of stamping a tile! For this, I rinsed and dried the tile first. Then inked up the stamp with Versamark, and placing the tile rubber side up, press the tile down into the stamp. I then took a sponge dauber and dabbed Stampin Pastels onto the stamped image. I sprayed with a sealer, added a Rhinestone brad, Soft Suede ribbon, and used some Hodgepodge Hardware with a word from EFF. Makes a quick and easy gift doesn't it!

Circles, Circles, Everywhere!

Circle Circus was one of the new Stampin' Up! sets I could pre-order as a demo. I made this a week or so ago, and forgot that I never posted it! So here you go.............
This is a mini pizza box made from Basic Black Carstock. I used Whisper White as the other color to keep a monocramitc look to this little gift set. The box opens, and contains six little 3x3 notecards with envelopes. This went to my Stampin' Sister for our monthly swap in UDI's group.

Why is one of my frogs trying to kill the other! (bwaaaahhaaa haaaa!)

I remember when I was a kid, seeing my grandmother squirt the hose at a dog that was mating with our dog. What made me think of this????? Hmmmmmmmmmmm...................,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Well.....let me tell you.
The other night I came home and saw that one of our African Dwarf frogs had the other in a choke hold around it's middle. I figured it was trying to keep the other one from going to the surface to get air. It was little frog murdering right before my very eyes! I was frantic! Got the little fishy scooper thingie out and tried to separate them to no avail! Yeah Yeah! Now you see where I am going with this!!!! My husband laughed at me for being worried, but he didn't know what they were up to any more than I did! It is called Amplexis.
I didn't know they did this! For one thing! I was told these were two males! And I also thought the female just laid her eggs and the male fertilized them. Nope! They cuddle first!
I think it was the new tank with a light that got them in the mood! Now we'll have to keep our eyes open for little tadpoles!

My Tribute to Michael

Michael Jackson was only a year younger than me. I grew up with him, loving and dancing to his music. I can listed to the older songs and sing along, knowing every word. He was so darn talented, a top notch performer. In the last years, I started to lose some respect for him with some of his antics. But now, as I look back at all the clips on TV, and the web, I hope he rests in peace. His changes over the years have to be due to some inner demon he has been fighting for years. Was it his upbringing? His lack of a normal childhood? Will we ever know? So Michael, thank you for touching my life. I will treasure your music forever, and hope to one day learn the Thriller dance!!!! It is my favorite video! Happy Stamping & Knitting!
