Only two more days until Halloween! I think this will be the last thing I create for this holiday. As much as I hate to see it go, I am ready to start creating for Christmas. I have no idea what the scent is on these candles, but got them at Michaels. I ran Pumpkin Pie cardstock through the crimper, then added a layer of Ghostly Greetings DSP. I stamped the witches hat from Eat, Drink, and be Scary stamp set with Basic Black ink and then used my Pumpkin Pie marker for the hat band. I cut it out and mounted it onto the dsp with dimensionals. Added some black organdy ribbon, and now I have 3 little gifts!
This is my place to share my love of rubber stamping, cooking, knitting, and snippets of my life. Thanks for stopping by!

Pillow Box Halloween Treat
If you haven't caught the Big Shot bug yet, let me tempt you. Shelli demo'd it on a local Utah station and I knew I had to find some acetate! You can see the video a few posts down.
Anyhoooo.....I got my acetate at Michael's in the fine arts section. Here is what the tablet looks like.
They are 9"x12" and come in a tablet of 25 sheets.
To make the box, you use the Pillow Box Bigz die . The sandwich layer is the cutting pad, the shims that come with the crease pad, the die cut, your acetate, then the crease pad.
I filled mine with Halloween M&M's, tied some Black Gingham ribbon around it to hold it closed. Then I stamped the tag image from Eat, Drink & Be Scary, onto Whisper White and cut the image out with Small Tag Punch, and the used the larger Tag Punch to cut the layer of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock. added some more Black Gingham ribbon to the tag, and attached it to the box with Mini glue dots.
Now you can make your own party favors for a Baby or Bridal Shower, Birthday parties, Wedding, and on and on and on!

Do we REALLY need this ?
I was clipping coupons yesterday and came across this. I know we are in an age of over the counter tests for pregnancy. I have used them myself, and it's the way Mike and I found out we were pregnant with Connor. But...........this.........well it disturbs me. Do we really need a DNA Paternity test kit readily available in drugstores. Are there that many people out there who don't know who the father of their child is? I know I am opening myself up here.....but please leave a comment on this! I want to see what you all think!!!!

Little Book of Punches
Here is my version of a Little Book of Punches. I was inspired by Patti Lee and she was kind enough to share her file with me. Her version of the book can be seen HERE. I used textured cardstock for my cover along with Circle punches and the Trio flower punch. I put the front and back cover into a baseball card sleeve for durability and punched the cards with my Crop-a-dile!
If you'd like a little book of your own, host a workshop with me and I will make you one! You can leave the pages blank, and then punch them as you collect your punches!
******please excuse this horrible photo!
The book is actually Real Red!

Eat, Drink, & Be Scary!!!!!
I love this stamp set! You can see the whole set HERE. So I chose it to use for the make & take at Stamp Club tonight. This is a triangle card. I got the idea from Holly Young who was kind enough to send me a mock up. Can be folded flat to mail and then folds up to a little triangle! I will be making some of these for Christmas as little trees!!!! Sooo cute huh!
Zindorf Inspired!
Michelle Zindorf makes gorgeous cards with masking and brayer with layers. This is inspired by her techniques.
The base card is Whisper White, with layers of More Mustard, Riding Hood Red, and Bravo Burgundy. The main image is the grass from Inspired by Nature, and the sentiment is from Sincere Salutations.

Boo to You!
My cousin hosts a girls night out Halloween party every year. Everyone brings a dish and a gift. When you get there, you draw a number out of the hat. Then after we eat, we pick gifts in numerical order. #1 picks a gift and opens it. Then #2 goes. If #2 likes #1's gift she can take it or pick something new. This goes on until everyone has a turn. It gets hysterical!!! So my gift this year is the pair of socks I knitted (see prior post) and a great beaded bracelet that is black and white with a skeleton theme. I am putting them in this altered paint can!
Hey!
You found me!

4 Little Pumpkins sitting .......
While I was making these, I remember the song about 5 little pumpkins. But I didn't have enough ovals to make 5 so I am just showing 4. Remember this song.....................
Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate.
The first one said, "Oh my its getting late!"
The second one said, "There's a chill in the air."
The third one said, "But we don't care!"
The fourth one said, "Let's run and run and run!"
The fifth one said, "I'm ready for some fun!"
"Woo" went the wind and out went the lights
And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.
Candy Corn Necklace
Have had some time to play! I have made a few of these for my Etsy shop. These can be worn as a necklace or a pin.

Jiminy Cricket-----------NOT!
This is Jiminy Cricket. He is cute and adorable and I would gladly welcome him into my home. I don't think I'd allow him into my stamp room though. He would NOT be a good conscience to have around when I am buying stamps.
This is what I HAVE in my house. They are in my basement!!! UGH!!!! I hate these things! They are a Camelback or Cave Cricket. And they JUMP! Right at you too! I just came down in my stamp room and two were in the hall! I grabbed the dust buster real quick and attacked! Then found another! (I can still hear them jumping in the dust buster! Lol lol lol). I don't do bugs........ I will only pick up a Ladybug.
And last week, Connor went to put his shoes on to go to school. He wears those DC's with the shoelaces tucked inside the shoe instead of tied up. He puts his foot in the shoe, then pulls it back out. I figured the laces were bugging him and he had to adjust them. So did he.
BUT.................it was one of these buggers! I screamed cause he was about to dump it on the family room floor! OMG! I made him take the shoe outside and shake it out there!
How can I get rid of these things?????????????? I read online about glue traps so I may have to go find some tomorrow!

Ssssssssssss...............
You know I don't do bugs! And I DO NOT do snakes! Gives me goose bumps just typing this!
The other day I was down in my stamp room, working away. Snowball (our dog) came to me to let me know she wanted to go outside. So instead of running upstairs, I let her out the basement steps. I stood at the slider, waiting for her to come back when out of the corner of my eye I saw movement on the steps........OMG! it was a SNAKE! Now mind you, the photo you are about to see makes it look larger than what it was. When I stepped out to actually see it, it reared up it's head and body to make him/herself appear larger, and started shaking it's tail like a rattler!!! So here I am, looking at a snake, waiting for Snowy to come back down the steps. Here she comes! She proceeds down the steps as I say, come here, and then she STOPS! Right next to the snake! At this point in time, I have my DH on the phone and I scream for her to come! I didn't know if this thing was poisonous or not! So DH runs home from the office to take care of the snake for me! Now I want to know where Mama, Papa, and bro's and sis's are! I got pictures before DH took care of it and emailed DNR. And while I wasn't close, I was zooming....it kept striking out at me and was falling down each step!!!! Like a slinky!!!! DNR finally got back to me and told me it was a Black Rat snake and is non poisonous, and that they shake their tail like a rattler! No kiddin'!
Now for laughs on how big it really was!
