Striped flowers

I had a little playtime today, but didn't do a lot. Tried to clean up my stamp room some, but didn't get much accomplished. I needed to make a birthday card and wanted to play with some of the new punches I got. I only ordered a few of the new sets as I have WAAAAAAYYYYYY too many now and cannot go overboard. I am also a paper junkie and have SU's that has since retired and TONS of others that I have gathered over the years living too close to Michael's, Recollections, Joann's, and too many other places! So I told myself I could not cut another piece of paper until I used up some of the larger pieces in my bin. So with this being said, this is what I made today. I don't know where the background paper is from, but the other cardstock is SU.
I love the new Photo Corners and Scallop Circle punch!
The flower on the card is the Scallop Circle and then I ran the Linen Thread around it. Added a button from Earth Elements and Neutrals. Not a lot of stamping, just a simple easy card.
The flower paper clips are made with the Scallop Circle punch and a Cuttlebug diecut. (I am also a ribbon junkie, and recently hit the Offray Ribbon Outlet and got tons of ribbon!!!) I lucked upon some large spools of RicRac!!! For the striped part of the flower I ran a strip from a cereal box through my Xyron and then applied paper to both sides. Then cut out the diecut. The center of the flower is the 1/2" circle punch and the back of the flower is the Scallop Circle! Don't the punch and the die cut go together perfectly!!! I used the Pop-Up glue dots to hold the jumbo paper clip and the two layers together. I think these little bookmarks are sooo cute!!!!!

Very Cute! I have been dying to try this but I can't find those clips. OK, I only looked at Target, lol. When you said you ran a strip of cereal box through the Xyron, what exactly did you mean? Did you mean the laminate or sticky Xyron film?

I got these clips at Walmart. I also got large gold ones at Staples that are bigger.

And I ran the cardboard through the xyron to apply the adhesive to it (both sides) and then applied the decorative paper.
