Happy March!
Once again, I am behind in my blog! Some people can keep theirs so current and up to date. I wish I could!
Anyway..................getting a little snow again today and of course they closed school! Geez! These poor kids will be going to June 20th or so!
Have found a little stamping time and made these large paper clip bookmarks for a swap. Fun to do!

Valentine's Day came with a storm!
Once again, we have snow on Valentine's Day. The kids were off of school for 2 days, went in 2 hours late yesterday, and are off on Monday!!!! And now they will be in school til mid June!!! UGH!
Whatever happened to the good ol' days when you didn't go to school until after Labor Day and then got out at the end of May or first week of June????? And all the holidays off in between! Now granted, I do like to have the Christmas break with all that our family does, but I can do without all the other days here and there. And there are so many teacher and professional days! I wish they'd take some of the spring break away..........Oh well........Enough of this rambling about school!
Where was I? Oh yeah! Valentines day! I got to sleep in!!!! And hubby gave me a Vera Bradley bag in the new Pink Elephant pattern that I LOVE! Did I say LOVE!!!!!! I have an elephant stamp in the Wild About You stamp set that is calling to be stamped to match the bag!
And don't worry...................my guys got presents too!!!
Am having a Stamp Camp here tomorrow and now wonder where the ladies will park with all the snow piled on the side of the road!
Photos of projects to come!
Stay warm!!!!

Largest Snowflakes I have ever seen!!!
We were supposed to get a snow storm last night into today. It didn't happen! We had a 2 hour delay for school for some ice. But when Connor got home from school today it started raining/sleeting. Then these HUGE snowflakes started falling! I don't remember ever seeing them this big in all of my 49 years! The pictures really don't show how big they were! Some were bigger then a silver dollar.
Connor ran out to see them and to catch them on his tongue! I took some photos and zoomed in on one that landed on one of the bushes.
Amazing and beautiful!

Christmas is over................I am bad at blogging!!!!!
I think that with all I do I am bad at this blogging thing. Some people do so well at keeping theirs updated and I don't know how they do it. I have been knitting, stamping, and of course cooking. With the weather the way it is though, there hasn't been much of a need for hats!!! Unseasonably warm here in Maryland.............very stange!
Here are some things I have been working on. My goal is to one day have an open house and sell things. So of course I have to build up an inventory! (Mike, my hubby questions me as to why I need so much yarn!) You can never have enough!!!!
This is a great little purse that has the handles knitted right in! I held strands of a pink and a green yarn together for this. Seems to be a theme lately for me! Connor (son) asks me why everything lately has that watermelon look!
See the watermelon theme here! Well this one started out as one thing (following a pattern) and then I got lost so I just did my own thing. I added some fuzzy yarn with the wool at the top and love how it turned out! I felted it and then added the green handles and ribbon!
And last, but not least is a little baby hat I just made for a friend who just had a baby boy! So fast and easy! This was out of the book, Itty Bitty Baby Hats.

Almost ready!
The shopping is done, and all the gifts are wrapped! I still have to make and send some Christmas cards to those who don't get the photo card. And I still need to start my baking. Hope to get it started today. Just have to make myself NOT sample the cookies.....................oh the pressure!
Am really looking forward to the Christmas break and not having to deal with homework and am looking forward the sleeping in.
Weather doesn't feel like Christmas here though!!!! Been in the 50's and 60's for the last few days. I shouldn't complain, since I hate the cold, but it needs to be a little colder for Christmas...........maybe even a little snow?????
Connor is getting excited, and is marking off the days til Christmas on his calendar.
Well it's time to go pre-heat the oven! This elf has to go bake!

Christmas is coming!!!!
I cannot believe that tomorrow will be December 1st! Where has this year gone?
I have the house all decorated and today wrapped all the gifts to date! What a relief that is! Now it's time to get out my Silpats and baking sheets and start the cookie baking..........but alas need some freezer space!!!
Have been busy knitting some gifts and even made myself a shawl to wear Christmas Eve!
The close up photo shows what the yarn looks like much better! It was easy and fun to make!
So still a little more shopping to do, cards to make, and I should be ready!!!
Hopefully next Christmas won't creep up as fast as this one did!

Happy Fall Y'all!
The leaves are almost all out of the trees! Only another raking or two. Enjoying the warm days we have been having.
Haven't been stamping much and really need to start my Christmas cards!
Made a few treats for Halloween and now it's time to switch to Winter themes. Will hopefully have something to post before the holidays!

Time to Catch Up!
Okay..........you can see that I am not good at keeping this up to date! I will try to do better!
Still doing the same old thing though! Stamping, cooking, and knitting! And hubby wonders why I never get the housework done! GEEZ!
I did go up to NY last week with my sister, sister-in-law, and friend and we went to the Martha Stewart show! Had a great time, and walked so much that I ached for two days after we came home! It was great to see how the show is put together. We also took a cab to Ground Zero. I haven't been to NY since the 70's and wanted to make sure I got there at least. Hard to do a lot with only 2 days there. There are still working there of course, but it still brought tears to my eyes, reading the memorials and seeing all the photos. So very sad.
Will try to post again later! Maybe show some of my latest projects!

This is my Maltese, Snowball. My son took this picture. She was afraid of the camera and he kept calling her and she finally looked up, but has that "what is that thing" look upon her face. We adopted her 3 years ago this October from the local animal shelter. It was the best thing we ever did! Her previous name was Tinkerbell, and she had a brother as well. But I knew I was pushing my luck with one dog. But hubby loves her! Calls for her as soon as he walks in the door! "Where's my Girl?" he always says, "Here I am!" But he's not talking to me! hee hee
