Fresh Cuts with Alcohol

hmmm.........maybe I should have a margarita with this title! But no! This is a technique that Linda Heller demo'd in her stamping school. I used a spritzer since that is how I apply mine. I keep it on hand for my polished stone technique. But what you do is cover your glossy cardstock with reinkers diluted with water, then before it is dry, spritz some rubbing alcohol on it and the alcohol resists some of the ink giving you a great background! So the colors I used here were Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery and then it was stamped once dry with the image inked with Basic Black. I used the Versamark and the sprig stamp to give a subtle background onto my Bashful Blue CS then layered my stamped image on that with Black and Certainly Celery. I used some Hodgepodge Hardware with my small scallop punch with the words from the same stamp set. The side of the card (on the fold) was punched just a little with the 1/4" square punch to give the ribbon a place to fit into so it won't slide down the card. I also anchored the hardware with a few glue dots underneath. Makes a WOW card!
