The east coast was hit with a little snow, and then an ice storm. School has been closed for two days! (which I hate, as now the kids will be in school longer in June). Michael couldn't get up the street to go to work today, and had to walk up the road to get a co-worker to pick him up. Our Raven's flag was frozen solid
This is my place to share my love of rubber stamping, cooking, knitting, and snippets of my life. Thanks for stopping by!

Video Test
I was playing with my camera and the video button on it. I was hoping to be able to use it for tutorials but I don't like how fuzzy it is. And I don't think the video feature runs long enough. So here are our two African Pygmy frogs, Mike and Ike. When they see my fingers they usually go crazy, knowing food is coming!
So I am curious as to what people use for their video tutorials! Please comment here and tell me!

Too Cold to Stamp!
I have been neglectful in my stamping! My room is down in the basement and it is soooo cold down there. Even being a finished basement it is still cold, cold, cold! I seem to be doing more knitting lately instead. I am waiting for my order from the new catalog to try some new things, so once it comes, I hope to stamp soon! And id doesn't help that my room is in total disarray!
Also have had a few health issued crop up and have been running here and there to doctors and hospital......ugh!

Scarf is Complete
I finished the scarf for charity earlier this week and love how it turned out! It has V's on each end of the scarf. I made up some tags with my Big Shot and a retired stamp set called Liberty for All, so we had somewhere to write the washing instructions and the type of yarn used. I have my scarf will warm one of our great vets! I don't think we can ever thank them enough!!

Knitting for Charity
I am a member of a Meet Up group for knitting/crocheting. Every once in a while we knit projects for charity. The current project is knitting scarves for WWII vets. The National WWII Museum launched the campaign. What a great cause! You can read more about it HERE. I have chosen a Bamboo/Wool yarn from my stash, as it is very, very soft. I want the recipient of my scarf to be able to wear it just sitting around the house/or home and be proud. So it is on the needles now, and won't be long til it's done! Very easy pattern!!

Stamp Club Cards
Here are two cards that my Stamp Club could choose to make. The white one with the hearts is sooo easy. I have always embossed with a few layers of cardstock mounted on top of each other to create an embossed space, but Lydia at Understanding Blue had a great idea and uses her expired gift cards! Or why not use those fake credit cards we all get with those pre-approved applications!
I love the simplicity of this card. Use "Dotto" and apply the adhesive to the back of the credit card. Then depending on whether you want your space indented or raised, apply the card to the front or back of your cardfront. Then run your stylus around the edges. Now you have a space to put all your little punched out hearts or whatever else you decide to use! I put the card into my cutter and used my bone folder to score 3 lines across the bottom, then stamped the word "Love" in Riding Hood Red ink from the set "Warm Words" which will be retiring on the 18th, so get your set now!!!!!
The next card is done with Riding Hood red as the base card and I stamped the hearts all over it as a background. The rest is the great Candy Lane Designer Series paper as the layers, and the little birds, and the scallop image is from the stamp set. I added some glitz with the chunky glitter!
