I love the Bee Happy stamps from Stampendous! (I am not affiliated with them, just love these little bees!) So with a little time to play I made two cards. One is a 6x3 and the other a standard size card. Cardstock is Stampin' Up!, and I also used my coluzzle, photo corner punch, retired SU ribbon, some star brads, and a border punch from Martha as well as the oval punch from Marvy.
This is my place to share my love of rubber stamping, cooking, knitting, and snippets of my life. Thanks for stopping by!

When Life Gives You Lemons........
Make Lemonade!!!!
Isn't this the cutest! This was cased from Jenn Diercks and I love this! My only problem is finding a glue that doesn't show through the vellum! I tried vellum tape, mono, and ended up using my UHU glue stick that goes on purple and dries clear. While I was making this I worked up quite a thirst!
*** the lemonade is yellow cardstock and the lemon slice is yellow but looks green in the photo

Fresh Cuts with Alcohol
hmmm.........maybe I should have a margarita with this title! But no! This is a technique that Linda Heller demo'd in her stamping school. I used a spritzer since that is how I apply mine. I keep it on hand for my polished stone technique. But what you do is cover your glossy cardstock with reinkers diluted with water, then before it is dry, spritz some rubbing alcohol on it and the alcohol resists some of the ink giving you a great background! So the colors I used here were Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery and then it was stamped once dry with the image inked with Basic Black. I used the Versamark and the sprig stamp to give a subtle background onto my Bashful Blue CS then layered my stamped image on that with Black and Certainly Celery. I used some Hodgepodge Hardware with my small scallop punch with the words from the same stamp set. The side of the card (on the fold) was punched just a little with the 1/4" square punch to give the ribbon a place to fit into so it won't slide down the card. I also anchored the hardware with a few glue dots underneath. Makes a WOW card!

A Little Late Night Stampin'
Today was the last day of school, and with the last 3 days being all half days, I compromised with Connor and let him stay home. They weren't doing a thing, lockers had been cleaned out two days ago and they were just killing time.......Soooooo....I was able to stay up late and stamp!
But now I am too tired to post a bunch of details! Connor is turning the big 13! on the 16th and we are having his party tomorrow. So today has been a day of running and gathering! I am pooped, but still wanted to share.
Hope you like!

Who let the Dog Out?
I hope this doesn't offend anyone! I was playing around with my Yappy Day set.....I colored in with my new Copics and used my Nestabilities dies to cut out the squares. I used our white gel pen for the dots. The main card is Creamy Caramel and is stamped in the same with the Weathered background stamp. Ribbon is non SU. I used the Silver hodgepodge hardware that I love and have to stop hoarding! The plus and equal signs were made with the Word Window Punch.

Knitting Chicks
Two of my favorite things!!! Stamping and Knitting! How cute is this stamp??? It is called Spinning a Yarn by Penny Black. I made this as a gift for my local yarn store. The owners are always friendly and helpful and I seem to spend a lot of time there. I found the font for the name on the computer and downloaded it. And the four chicks represent the owners and their daughters who also work there. I hope to go in the next day or so and give it to them!

Tart & Tangy Tag
I have been working on a yummy item now in my Etsy shop. This is the tag for it! I stamped the strawberry in Real Red, Chocolate Chip, and Wild Wasabi. Then I cut out portions of the brown and green, and layered on top of the red. The tag itself was made with my Spellbinders Nestablitlies die cuts. The white layer was stamped with the Weathered background stamp and sponged with Wild Wasabi. I used my Crop-a-Dile to punch the hole in the tag.

Run Forest Run!
Well not really Forest Gump, but that is what came to my mind when trying to think of a title for this post. This is a card for my nephew. The image of the boy is one I got in my grab bag at the Stampin' By the Sea convention. The star is stamped with an image from Classic Backgrounds and then punched with SU's Large Star punch. I also stamped the envelope with the same star and used the HB and the sentiment on the front and inside from the It's Your Birthday set. I embossed the bottom of the Brocade Blue CS with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and then layered with Basic Black and a retired designer paper called Pool Party. The football player is colored with Copics which I really need a lesson with!!!!
Floral Fantasy Cuttlebug
I love my Cuttlebug embossing folders and how they can make a simple card beautiful! This card was inspired by Adela Rossol. I used Whisper White cardstock and ran a portion of it through with the embossing folder. Then I scored the bottom lines with my Score-Pal. The birthday cake is Stampin' Up "So Many Scallops" which was a Sale-A-Bration set. I used my Scallop Circle punch by SU to cut the birthday image first, then used my dotto adhesive to put it on a scrap piece of paper and then re punched it again to change the look of the flower. Then mounted it on a piece of Wild Wasabi punched with the same. The butteryfly is made with a punch from Martha Stewart and the Wild Wasabi Striped Grosgrain ribbon finished it off! Easy as Pie!
