Goodies! Goodies! Goodies!

I went to the StampScrapArtTour rubberstamp convention in Carroll County yesterday and it is taking everything in my power not to go back today!!! I must say that Inky Antics was my favorite place! I went back twice! Something about Sweety the Snowman captured my heart! I showed restraint, but WILL be ordering more!
So here is a photo of my goodies! (doesn't include some other unmounted I got and other odds-n-ends. And I had to play with Sweety last night!
The base card is Green Galore CS and I used my Snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the entire front. Sweety is stamped on Whisper White CS with Basic Black ink and then colored in with Prismcolored pencils and gamsol. I outlined some of it with a Stardust Glitter Pen that I also got from Inky Antics. This was then layered onto Green Galore and Real Red CS. I punched out the corners with the Ticket Corner punch by SU. I then took a strip of Real Red CS and using my Crafter's Tool Kit eyelet template to get a straight placement by tracing the larger holes with a pencil and then used my 1/4" circle punch to punch the holes out. I didn't like them plain, so I added some green Stickles in the circles. I then used Riveting (retired hostess set) and cut out the inside of the circle and used the small snowflake punch (retired) for the inside. I added some red ginham ribbon and voila, I was done! I think I need to ground him some and put a shadow under the candy he is flying down the hill on.

Froggy Criss Cross Birthday

This is called a Criss Cross card. Love this! Beate did a tutorial on SCS.
I used Green Galore cardstock as my base. Didn't have any SU designer paper to match, so I used DCWV Glitter Stack. The frog is Stampin' Up! Unfrogettable. I used the Scallop Circle, Round Tab , and Circle punch all from SU. I added googlie eyes to the frog and popped him up with dimensionals. Isn't he sweet!

Wanted Birthday

My best friend is turning 50 in a week. I wanted to make her a card that she could frame and use later if she wanted. I had her daughter email me a photo of when she was younger and this is what I came up with.
I used Wanted by Stampin' Up! The base card is SU Chocolate Chip. I used Really Rust CS the Outlaw Designer Paper for the layers. The frame is done with a Sizzix die cut. I used the Cutter Kit to distress the Really Rust layer. I punched the corners of the Outlaw paper with the Ticker Corner punch and then added the mini deco fasteners from the Vintage group. The little circles on the corners of the frame are stamped onto Chocolate Chip cardstock with Vanilla Craft in and embossed with Clear EP , punched with the 1/4" circle and then popped up with dimensionals. The large medallion is stamped with Basic Brown onto Really Rust CS and punched with the Scallop Circle punch. I used another image from the set and just stamped with the Vanilla craft ink and punched with the 3/4 " circle punch. I stamped the small image again on a length of Twill Tape with Basic Brown ink and tied around and taped on the back. I love how this turned out! Wasn't sure if I like this set at first, but am loving it now!!!!

Altered Clipboard~~~Halloween Style!

This is a clipboard from Staples. I applied the paper with modge podge and let dry. Then sanded the edges and put another coat on top. The paper with the faces is from Rusty Pickle and is called Halloween Cats. I don't remember where I got it as it was in my "stash"! The black paper has spiders all over it but it is hard to see. This is designed paper from Stampin' Up! and is called Creepy Crawly. The mosaic looking paper is from this series too!
The ribbon across the middle has been aged with brown ink. The embellishments on the clip are from the $1 spot at Target. I cut a 3x3 square of cork board and glued it to the lower left corner. The push pins are made by stamping the images from the retired set Bitty Boos from Stampin' Up!, and then I used Crystal Effects to glue to the paper to the flat clear marbles. I then used the CE again and glued thumb tacks to the back. (push pins went in too deep)
The container holding the post-its is from my stash as well!!! Go figure huh! These are clear containers I got at a restaurant supply house that are used for sugar packets. I used double sided foam tape to mount this to the clipboard. The photo looks like it hangs down lower than the clipboard, but it doesn't. The pen has a piece of the Rustly Pickle paper in it and I have tied it up to the clip.
I glued 8 heavy duty magnets on the bag so it will stick to the refrigerator. I love this!!! If I can let it go, (or make another!) I am going to give this to my cousin who has an annual Halloween gift exchange party every year. Everyone brings a wrapped Halloween decorated and picks a number from the basket. Then #1 goes first and picks the gift. Then #2. #2 can take #1's gift or choose something else. This goes on until the last person picks!! It is a riot! These women get "witchy!" if you know what I mean! We all bring a dish or dessert as well. Makes for a fun night! She could use this clipboard to keep track of her details for the party!

Hubby who hates to Shop!

Our anniversary is coming up on the 9th. My dear husband HATES to shop. In our 13 years of marriage I can probably count on one hand how many times he has gone with me. He says he gets sick from the air in the malls!
So............when I saw this stamp from Stamping Bella I knew I had to have it! (and many others as well!)
This card is what I came up with for our anniversary! I used some In-Colors cardstock and ink ink pads by Stampin' Up, and some Twinkling H2O's, prima flowers, SU's Photo Corner punch, and the Crafter's Tool Kit to make the small holes along the long strip and photo corner punch. I distressed everything a little with my Basic Brown stamp pad. The brads are from the Vintage group. I also used the Cuttlebug Heart Blocks Embossing Folder. I added some ribbon and I think that covers it!
I wrote a little poem for the inside too!
Thirteen years
Have come and gone
Our love still grows
Our bonds are strong.
Ups and Downs, we've had a few
But through it all
I still love you!
Take me shopping?
You say, No,
I'd have to carry the bags you know!"

Joan and the Beanstalk!

Ok..........can anyone tell me what this is? My brother gave me some large seeds from this plant that he couldn't identify. I took them and planted them along part of our fence. They started out with a few vines and leaves and the little bunnies in our yard loved them! Didn't think they would survive all the munching!!!! But they did and they have gone wild! I feel like Jack and the Beanstalk! These little purple flowers have just started to appear. My brother says that this is where they seeds will come from eventually. I love how this looks, but would really like to know what it is called. And I am also going to be looking for the goose that lays the golden egg! I have since found out that this is called a Hyacinth Bean Vine.
