Best Friends

Something about this stamp caught my eye. I had a few coupons to use up at Joann's and didn't really find anything I had to have. This stamp reminds me of my brother Mark and I. We are two years apart and have always been pretty close. The "B" on here is from a Sizzix set I got on clearance at Michaels a while ago and just used for the first time. The "B" could be for Best Friends as this is the name of the stamp, could be for Beach, as that is where I see them sitting, or for Breidenstein, which is my maiden name!!!! I also use the swirl cuttlebug embossing folder. I love the simplicity of this card.

Striped flowers

I had a little playtime today, but didn't do a lot. Tried to clean up my stamp room some, but didn't get much accomplished. I needed to make a birthday card and wanted to play with some of the new punches I got. I only ordered a few of the new sets as I have WAAAAAAYYYYYY too many now and cannot go overboard. I am also a paper junkie and have SU's that has since retired and TONS of others that I have gathered over the years living too close to Michael's, Recollections, Joann's, and too many other places! So I told myself I could not cut another piece of paper until I used up some of the larger pieces in my bin. So with this being said, this is what I made today. I don't know where the background paper is from, but the other cardstock is SU.
I love the new Photo Corners and Scallop Circle punch!
The flower on the card is the Scallop Circle and then I ran the Linen Thread around it. Added a button from Earth Elements and Neutrals. Not a lot of stamping, just a simple easy card.
The flower paper clips are made with the Scallop Circle punch and a Cuttlebug diecut. (I am also a ribbon junkie, and recently hit the Offray Ribbon Outlet and got tons of ribbon!!!) I lucked upon some large spools of RicRac!!! For the striped part of the flower I ran a strip from a cereal box through my Xyron and then applied paper to both sides. Then cut out the diecut. The center of the flower is the 1/2" circle punch and the back of the flower is the Scallop Circle! Don't the punch and the die cut go together perfectly!!! I used the Pop-Up glue dots to hold the jumbo paper clip and the two layers together. I think these little bookmarks are sooo cute!!!!!

Zig-Zag Eyelet Throw

I just finished making my first large throw! I have made a few baby blankets, but this gave me a great sense of accomplishment! This one is for my Mom, and I will be starting another right away! The pattern calls for 17 balls of Peaches and Cream cotton, but I got the large cones, and it took a little more than two. Here is a link to the pattern. http://promotions.drgnetwork.com/newsletters/creativeknitting/pages/CKNL2107_patt.html

Hibiscus in Bloom!

I got two of these plants at Home Depot and absolutely love them!!! I love the colors and textures, and the joy they bring me when I walk outside on my patio! Let's hope I can keep them all year round! Can't I just bring them in when it gets cold?

A little Stamping

Stampin' Up! Baroque Motifs stamp set!!!!
This is a mini album made with acrylic baseball sleeves! I love this new set Baroque Motifs! It is a gorgeous set! I punched the holes with my Crop-0-dile which cuts like butter! This is a MUST HAVE for everyone! I added those split ring type keychains, and ribbon. Not a lot of stamping on this other than the cover and a few words here and there.
And here is a sample of a card done with the same set.
And look at this cute little chest I stamped using Black Stazon!
You are only limited to your imagination on what you can stamp on.............
